The brainchild of Australian billionaire Terry Peabody, Craggy Range is one of New Zealand’s elite brands. Specialising in single vineyard wines ( there are 27 in total in their portfolio), Craggy Range has in a short space of time cemented a position in the upper echelons of New Zealand wine royalty.

 

Their reputation has been largely built around the wines that have been produced from the Gimblett Gravels region near Hawkes Bay. This unique and fascinating terroir has been responsible for producing some of the most complex cool climate Syrah’s and Bordeaux blends ever created in New Zealand, and the flagship “Le Sol” Syrah has been acclaimed by leading critic Robert Parker Jr as the finest wine of its type ever to come out of the land of the long, white cloud.
